The first part of the documentary "The Holy Belt in Cyprus" showcases the most important moments from its arrival on the island accompanied by the Abbot of the Vatopedi Monastery, Archimandrite Ephraim, and the Vatopedi brotherhood.

Approximately 350.000 believers worshipped the Holy Belt.

The calendar shows February 4, 2024, and Mount Athos monks accompany the all-holy and grace-filled Belt of the Virgin Mary to the arsanas, from where it will depart for Thessaloniki and from there for Cyprus.

After 34 years, the Holy Belt arrives in Cyprus and the martyred island welcomes the Holy Relic with the honors of a head of state while a multitude of people shed tears of joy and wreaths of gratitude from the first moment of arrival….

At Larnaca airport, Hierarchs of the Church of Cyprus and ordinary people welcomed the holy relic with anticipation and overflowing joy in this reunion that wrote a new page in the history of Cyprus.

From February 5, the Holy Belt begins its great journey in Cyprus to the Holy Metropolises of Constantia, Limassol, Paphos, Trimythous, Tamasos, Kition, as well as other areas of the island.
