The solemn Divine Liturgy was celebrated today at the Holy Great Monastery of Vatopedi according to the Athonite order and in an atmosphere of mysticism, devotion and prayer, for the feast of the deposition of the Holy Belt, which is kept in the Holy Monastery.
The Divine Liturgy was presided over by His Eminence, Abbot of the Holy Monastery of Stavronikita, Elder Tychon, flanked by Mount Athos fathers.
Elder Ephraim, Abbot of the Vatopedi Monastery, who returned to the Monastery after his health crisis, was present to pray.
The Right Choir of the Psaltes was directed by Elder Antipas and his accompaniment from the cell of Saint Anne, while the Left Choir was led by the protopsaltes Mr. Ioannis Hasanidis, Mr. Georgios Konstantiou with their accompaniments and was flanked by a dance of the Vatopedi Fathers.
After the Divine Liturgy, a festive meal was served.
