Students and the Holy Administration honored the patrons of letters

The patrons of letters, three Hierarchs, were celebrated with splendor today at the Athonia Academy of Mount Athos, in the presence of the fifty students of the historical school and the leadership of the Holy Community.

The event was attended by the chief elder Barnabas of Vatopedi and overseers of the Holy Community of the Athonite State.

A message was read from the director of secondary education of Halkidiki, Mr. Th. Topanidis. The choir of Athoniada sang at the celebration.

Also, the best students of the previous year were awarded. The awards were presented by the head elder Barnabas and the overseers of the Holy Community. Among others, awards were also received by students from Serbia and Bulgaria.

The kolyvos was made by the students of the 3rd Lyceum who are also involved in Hagiography.
