Paisios the Teacher of Crete

He studied at the School of Quince under the teacher Benjamin of Lesbos. He served for many years as a teacher at the Vatopedi Monastery and as the guardian of Mount Athos in Constantinople after 1846. He was an Elder of Metropolitan Dorotheos Evelpides of Korytsa. He died at the Monastery in 1873 at the age of over 70.
