In the postponed – Doxasticus of the Apostolic Hymns of Vespers of Good Friday in the tone of the first and the member of Matthew of Vatopedi
15.05.2011
In the rising, the light as a garment, Joseph, descending from the tree, with Nicodemus, and beholding the dead naked and unburied, taking up a sympathetic lament, weeping, said: O house, sweetest Jesus! whom the sun, when he was young, saw hanging on the Cross, was surrounded by gloom, and the earth trembled with fear, and the veil of the temple was rent; but behold now I see you, who voluntarily came to death for me. How shall I bury you, my God? or how shall I pray for a shroud? With whose hands shall I touch your immaculate body? Or what songs shall I sing, O my God, at your departure? I magnify your Passion, I also hymn your Burial, with your Resurrection, crying out: Lord, glory to you.
