Administration

In accordance with the communal nature of the Vatopedi brotherhood's organization, administration is exercised by the Holy Synaxis, which consists of the elected and lifelong abbot and the superiors of the Monastery.

The Holy Synax makes the important administrative decisions, for the execution of which the abbot and the two or three commissioners are responsible. On the contrary, matters of lesser importance are regulated by the internal regulations of the Monastery and by the assemblies of the monks that are convened at regular intervals.
