Virgin Mary of Vatopedi, copperplate engraving by Giulian Zuliani, year 1763

The central theme of the copper engraving is the Virgin Mary of Vatopedi ("the Slaughtered One"). In its lower part, the building complex of the Vatopedi Monastery appears as a complementary theme. On either side of this representation there are two columns with bilingual text related to the depicted theme. The copper engraving is the work of the well-known engraver Giulian Zuliani and was printed in Venice in 1763.
