The disc has an ellipsoidal shape (maximum diameter 39,3 cm) and consists of two parts, the rim and the bottom. The inner surface of the bottom depicts the meeting of Rebecca with Eliezer in front of the well. This particular piece dates back to the late 16th century and comes from the Augsburg workshops. It is possible that it was crafted by the famous goldsmith Paul Huebner, or that it reproduces one of his works. It originally formed the central representation of a tazza, from which it was later detached in order to be used as the bottom of the disc. Its wide and slightly curved rim is decorated with intricate floral ornaments and dates back to the second half of the 17th century.
