The procession of the Holy Belt and Blessing at the Vatopedi Monastery

The feast of the Holy Belt is being celebrated according to the Athonite order since yesterday at the Holy Great Monastery of Vatopedi.
The Holy services are presided over by the Abbot of the Holy Monastery of Stavronikita on Mount Athos, Elder Tychon. This morning, Elder Tychon performed the Blessing of the Holy Water in the Holy Monastery's cistern, followed by the procession of the Holy Belt within the Monastery.
At the end, Elder Tychon read a special prayer to the Holy Belt for the end of the pandemic.
