Troparion of Cassian – Doxasticus of the Apostichs of the Matins of Holy Wednesday in the tone of the fourth and the member of Petros Lampadariou

15.05.2011

Lord, the Woman who fell into many sins, who felt your Divinity, who assumed the myrrh-bearing order, brings fragrant myrrh to you before burial. Home! saying, for night is here, the star of debauchery, gloomy and moonless, the lover of sin. Receive for me the fountains of tears, O clouds that carry the waters of the sea; bow down to me to the sighs of my heart, O couch that emptyeth the heavens, with thy unfathomable table; I will kiss thy immaculate feet, and perfume them again, with the locks of my head; which in Paradise Eve, at twilight, having heard a sound in her ears, hid in fear. The multitudes of my sins and the abyss of thy crimes, which thou hast searched out, O my Saviour, with soul-saving knowledge; forsake not thy servant, thou whose mercy is immeasurable.
