Previous Nikandros of Vatopedi

He studied at the Rizareio School and the Theological School of the University of Athens. He excelled in the Monastery as secretary, treasurer and representative to the Holy Community. He wrote the History of the Athonia Academy which was published in the Constantinople Newspaper Neologos. He died at the age of 50, suffering from a fatal illness in 1891.
